Information on Hepatitis C in Assisted Living
The voluntary RCFE Questionnaire is live and ready for providers to begin filling out. Haven't started yet? We encourage all CALA members to take this opportunity to enhance your community's online visibility!
In California, Assisted Living communities are licensed Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) and are regulated by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.
New laws go into effect on January 1st of each year. It can take years, however, for the new statutory requirements to be reflected in RCFE regulations. Some changes are “self-implementing” and never go into regulation. This member’s only section of the CALA website will keep you informed. CALA archives DSS Chaptered Legislation Implementation Plans accessible by year and topic for members’ convenience.
DSS will publish an information release when information and clarification pertinent to your operations needs to be made. CALA members are notified when these are made public, and here you can find an archive of all available information releases.
