Opening General Session featuring Jimmy Yeary, Grammy Award-winning Singer/Songwriter

Everyone’s life is a story rich with authentic experiences that can move and inspire others. The same is true of the senior living profession and dedicated individuals who serve residents. Join Jimmy for a firsthand songwriting experience that celebrates the positive impact of senior living on residents’ lives, honors CALA’s impact on the profession and envisions a future of continued success. You’ll discover the power of vulnerability and reliability, leaving you uplifted and equipped with proven techniques for building strong relationships with residents, family members, your teams and beyond.

Jimmy Yeary was writing songs long before becoming the lead singer of the Grammy Award winning supergroup SHENANDOAH. He has written more than two-thousand songs, many of which have been featured on albums selling millions of copies and nine of which have been certified Number 1 hits as singles by Billboard Magazine. Recently, both the CMA and ACM awarded Jimmy with Song of the Year for I Drive Your Truck. Facilitating growth while creating and maintaining significant relationships has become Jimmy's trademark as a communicator, while emotional awareness, a greater understanding of others, and the shared experiences that build an effective team are heralded as his genius.
