In order to provide high-quality care and quality of life to residents living with dementia, CALA members have developed the Toolkit for Reducing Antipsychotic Use. This guide was created to help providers track the number of residents with dementia that have orders for antipsychotic medications. The toolkit provides sample worksheets to incorporate into daily operations, tips to help educate residents’ families and prescribers on the issue, and information from a variety of sources to help providers look for ways to promote non-pharmacological interventions.

Please fill out the form below to be directed to the download webpage. Have your CALA-member username and password on hand to complete the download. Questions about the toolkit can be sent to sch@CAassistedliving.org.
